Simple. His ancestors slaughtered her and her family and took it all.
After all, the article did say the Charr were very Mongol-esque.

I'm thinking rather than transferring the exact pixels belonging to a GW1 character, the hall helps GW2 chars get equipped with some unique weapons and armor of their own.
Because really, what use does a Char Chomping Lord have for a sword smaller than his own claw? And I doubt an Asuran Engineer is going to be impressed by an inheritance of Istani elementalist armor.

what i want from GW:EN two things...
1). The Warrior Armor in GW:EN better be what I have been waiting for... MEANING, epic Warrior Knight Style helm...
NON nipple showing, batman, super shredder, batman reskinned, Nightmare from Soul Calibur, Vabbian is the only sweet armor, I want what the warrior SHOULD have looked like.
2). Give the warrior a "Leap Attack" PLEASE
Much like the one in... D2, yes i said it. I want to jump over a small stream of water and attack. I want to jump over a Ettin and attack. I want to LEAP over the **[SPOILER]** Lich and kill Shiro **[END SPOILER]**
Either way it will be epic.

I think you're reading too much into it here - but has anybody taken a good look at that vegetable that guards the entrance to House zu Heltzer? That creature was designed by a pervert.
And speaking of which - the norn woman is wearing metal pasties. Haven't we all seen pasties before? Maybe the GW design team meets at strip clubs after hours for ideas. Good ideas. But...kinky ideas.

"Every monument earned will unlock something, from heroes and pets to weapons, clothes and miniatures, in Guild Wars 2."
Now I don't know if I am grasping here or not, but we currently do not have clothes in Guild Wars. If the author of the article does actually mean clothes and not armor, is GW:EN going to give us town clothes?
Mmmm intriguing.
Other thing that I'm not so sure about (Don't get me wrong the games, gwen & gw2 both sound amazing) is this :
"By achieving victories in these battles there will be benefits to your world," Strain said. "Bonuses, advantages, maybe everyone gets increased energy regeneration or healing rate or enhanced loot drop rate."
I HOPE it is nothing like that horrid system in cantha where faction ruled.
Oh and thanks so much for linking us to this article. Two thumbs up!

I seriously hope the Charr look similar to the artwork rather than cartoonish as in GW1
Please, Gaile, don't say they won't.

I know it's supposed to be Norse and all, but it has Irish overtones as well (the tatoos especially).
Oh, and the girl is fine. Nothing wrong with a girl who has muscles, especially if she's so... titillating.

I think the tatts are of a more celtic nature but hey its all around the same area!

Wow! The artwork is amazing! And, hell yeh, if the charrs do really look like that I think i'll be making one sooner than I thought! Although it's obvious that the artwork is always a bit more beautifull cause it's drawed.
